What MyZenCheck Does—and Does Not Do

MyZenCheck is an AI-assisted educational wellness tool. It analyzes visible characteristics in a submitted tongue photo and describes them using Traditional Chinese Medicine pattern vocabulary.

What the software analyzes

  • whether a usable tongue image is present;
  • visible color, coating, shape, surface, edge, and moisture-like image features;
  • pattern labels generated from multiple model outputs and explanatory software.

What it cannot establish

  • a disease, organ function, nutrient deficiency, or medical diagnosis;
  • the cause of a visible feature or symptom;
  • whether a medicine, herb, supplement, or therapy is safe for an individual;
  • whether urgent or professional care is unnecessary.

Evidence status

MyZenCheck has not published an independently reviewed clinical-validation protocol or sufficient public data to support a diagnostic-accuracy claim.

External studies cited on this site concern other researchers, cohorts, and systems. They do not validate MyZenCheck. Internal development figures formerly published on the site have been withdrawn pending a versioned protocol, defined labels and denominators, cohort description, evaluator identities and independence, uncertainty estimates, confusion matrices, limitations, and reproducible results.

Photo and result data flow

A submitted photo is sent over HTTPS, uploaded to Azure Blob Storage, and passed to Azure-hosted analysis services. The API attempts to delete that blob automatically when the analysis request finishes, including failed analyses; cleanup failures are logged, so no absolute deletion guarantee is made. Result history is stored in the browser.

  1. The browser sends image bytes over HTTPS for a quality check.
  2. The browser requests a time-limited upload URL and uploads the accepted image to Azure Blob Storage.
  3. Azure-hosted computer-vision services access that blob URL for analysis.
  4. The generated result is returned to the browser and kept in session/local browser storage for the user flow.

The API requests deletion of the submitted blob after every completed or failed analysis request. Cleanup failures are logged, so MyZenCheck does not promise permanent deletion or claim that an uploaded photo stays only on the device.
